Thanks - probably blow my street cred (do I need any at my age!?!) - the album cover was painted by my mother (yes, she is an artist, local fame only but an artist nevertheless).
She'll be delighted by your comments!
Best wishes

I see now how that can happen... I'll try and keep a reasonable space between my post and signature...
Anyway, I will probably buy your reissue (after my next paycheck... been spendging too much on cd's lately...)
Besides CD Baby, where else is it available?
And best of luck with this reissue

Yes - very international :) Either way, I'm delighted to find a place where so many prog rock enthusiasts hang out (and not just because of releasing an album!).
I got a sense this summer when I went to the Roger Walters concert in Hyde Park, London, that there is a revival in this type of music. The audience - unlike those that 'Regenesis' and 'Musical Box' concerts, had a real mix of younger and older people.
I seem to hear Comfortably Numb everywhere at the moment (in films, on the TV).....

Welcome Protos (Rory & Steve)!
As you can see PA is an international site, based in Québec (Canada) and using the English language (well, sometimes not really ) as the communication medium. You'll find here people coming from all continents and many countries, united by the love (well, sometimes not really ) of prog-rock and progressive music in general.

No offence taken - it was your signature (When I am king.....up against the wall) - I read it as part of your message and thought you were making a joke :)
Just playful banter!
Best wishes

I apologize if I offended you, just pointed the origin of the site, that's all, nothing more
Anyway, I recommend other people to go and listen to samples here:

Hi, there.
I was given a recommendation of your album by a forum member here and heard samples on CD Baby and was positively impressed. I believe I will order that re-issue cd (after this month other cd purchases).
Thanks for letting us know.
Oh and by the way, this forum is Quebecois based and not UK.

Hi,
Just wanted to say 'hello' and that I'm delighted there is such an active Prog Rock forum that is UK based. I've just posted news that the 1982 prog rock album One Day a New Horizon by Protos has been re-released by New Horizons Music Ltd (see the Press Releases group).
Why the interest?
In 1991, Marquee Magazine reviewed Protos's One Day a New Horizon and told their readers to "remember Protos as the top prog rock act since England". In short, they felt it was the best prog rock release to come to their attention for 14 years!
Hope there are people on here who will be pleased by this news. Please spread the word.
Best wishes
Rory and Steve
