John Petrucci but only becouse some of my favorite guitar players arn't in the list. Mark Knopfler is very good I suppose. Petrucci just has such talent of making quick solos but every note is clear.

Agreed, but for the sake of the poll, I gave Bettencourt a vote.  The guy is so under-rated.  The stuff he did with Extreme is really phenomenal...

Knopfler, his guitar playing is great. he even comes close to being certifiable prog on Love Over Gold. Beside that he has a dinosour named after him. (true fact)
