Topic: Iron Maiden vs. Santana(?) Posted: October 30 2006 at 17:43 |
Santana! I really don't like Maiden at all, or even understand what makes them prog-related.

Although I like Maiden much much more, I voted for Santana
He really deserves it more than them

Santana is far superior to Iron Maiden in too many ways to mention. That should boil some blood. SANTANA!!

Neither one is prog. But Maiden should be on here just because they kick 20 times more ass.

Love both, but Maiden is a heavy metal group. santana is latin Jazz (nowadays pop, but it doesn't count) and can be put in the jazz/fusion box without much noise.

Both equally.
That's why I didn't vote.

I have nothing against having Santana in Jazz Rock/Fusion. I have
nothing against having Iron Maiden in Prog Related either, but I have
very much against having the Prog Related category on this site (get
rid of it!), so I voted Santana.

My strong vote goes to Santana. he deserves to be here 100% while Iron Maiden is a big, big question mark in my opinion.

On one hand, Iron Maiden have progressive influences. On the other hand, Santana experimented a lot of stuff in his career. This makes the choice really hard but I think Iron Maiden is the one who deserves to be here.

I just find Maiden to be as progressive (if not more) than Death. Then again, I've heard very little of Death.
