Topic: 3 Full albums free for download! Posted: October 26 2006 at 15:58 |
Fair enough Bob. I wasn't advocating file sharing as I am against it, I just wondered what the legal position was.
I noticed recently that the world is starting to clamp down on the Russian MP3 sites such as allofmp3. A couple of credit card companies have stopped accepting payments to them.

The problem is that that site promotes and facilitates illegal activity, something PA does not wish to associate itself with.
I do appreciate in this case the originator of the thread is probably not doing anything they should not.

^Perhaps, if it's been released on CD. The recordlabel could interfere,
I've read somewhere that it has happened when artists have tried to
spread their music for free.

Just wondering Tony, is file-sharing a problem if it's his own music?

Sorry we cannot allow the discussion of file-sharing programs.
Have you considered uploading your files via megaupload, yousendit or rapidshare?

If you have soulseek, that
is... sorry, it's really hard to find sites that will host my music
because I have a lot of relatively long songs. My username is "Newblit"
and you'll find my music under the "Justin Turner" folder. Ignore the
audition CD, that's just poorly recorded classical music I used to get
into college. If you're not friends with me already, you won't be able
to access my files, so just message me and I'll add you.Onto a
description of the music! Well, it's mostly what I would consider
progressive electronic (if you're familiar with progarchives.com you
may understand this term a bit better than others) in the same vein of
Brian Eno, Klaus Schulze, or Jean-Michel Jarre. However, since I have
such a wide range of influences outside of electronic music, you'll
find a lot to enjoy. Particularly, you may hear some metal, some Floyd,
some classical, some Godspeed, and others.Album-by-album, chronologically (as in which I wrote first, second, third): Ne'er
Ken Thine Lord is the spaciest - it's a concept album about a guy who
reaches absolute metaphysical power through self-exploration,
ultimately destroys himself, and returns as part of the spirit of
nature.I'm Durnken is the most experimental, and a bit more humorous, with more definitive influences and ranges of style.Pictures
of a Battle is more of a return to the style of Ne'er Ken Thine Lord,
though I believe it's musically more mature and varied. It's a concept
album where each piece is a picture of different soldiers at a battle,
delving into their background and their motives and personalities. Please,
please, please take the time to message me so I can add you to my
friends! I guarantee this music won't dissapoint, and I worked very
hard on it. AND it's free.
