Well, he did climb the sound system towers at shows and claimed he had a premonition Fripp would ask him to join.

He went to a monastery because his percussion wasn't being heard properly live?

Yes, he did. I think he paints now. He left to join a Tibetan monastery and because his percussion wasn't being heard properly live.

15) "Groon" appears at Ladies of the Road double CD (CD1, track number 6), played live, of course. Also, the recent remaster of In the Wake of Poseidon has "Groon" as a bonus track. I don't have that remaster, but I do have Ladies of the Road, therefore I didn't think of "Groon".
Still, it's unclear what was the destiny of "Trees" mentioned in the booklet to McDonalds & Giles. Does anybody know anything about it???
As for 17), I remembered something from the booklet to Larks' Tongues in Aspic, but didn't have a look to it for the answer.

To clarify, 10 is Bill Bruford and Adrian Belew, 25 years each, 1972-1997 & 1981-2006.
11 was http://www.fripp.com/robertfrippclips/jimi.ramJimi Hendrix 13 is Blue For 14, Peace: A Theme has been played live. There are still more to name. 15 is Groon, being the only single (b-side) not to come from an album. Unfortunately, I forgot it had been played on Earthbound. 16 is 2/3 of the way there. This one is really hard so I might as well tell you. John Wetton played violin duets with Cross but stopped after someone from Family shouted something at him during a concert. Fassbinder fell for 17. That was the fake reason his record company made him give out. |

5."Bude" is on the 'Happy With What You Have To Be Happy With' EP
10.Trey Gunn and Pat Mastelotto have been in the band together for about some 10+ years I think, which is longer than most
14.Do the 3 "Peace" tunes on 'Poseidon' count? Also: "Lizard", "Prelude: Song Of The Gulls", "Moonchild" (?), "Islands" (?)
16.David Cross and Eddie Jobson

15) Trees ?
This title is mentioned in the booklet to McDonald & Giles self-titled album as a King Crimson piece yet it doesn't appear at any track-list to any of the KC albums.

Steven Wilson wasn't who I was thinking of it; someone more famous. I heard Wilson only really liked Red, as did Cobain.

Bill Bruford's been in the band longer. Bruford 1973-1996(?) Levin 1980-1996?(?) Although the ending dates are questionable I believe they left KC at the same time, and Bruford's starting date wins it for him. |

So far you've done 1-4. King Crimson more precisely means: the man with an aim.
If you can tell me what studio album Bude is on, you've got 5 right. 6-9 are right. 10 is wrong. 11 you still haven't got. 12 is right. 13 no one's attempted, probably because it's more of a rumour. For 14, One More Red Nightmare has never been played live but an improv for Fallen Angel was played at their debut concert. There's still 7 more to get. 15 you still haven't got. Which ones do you give up on? I just thought of two more. 16) Name all the violinists who have played on King Crimson albums and live (not neccesarily a live album). 17) Trick question: why did Jamie Muir leave? (push and pull reasons) |

"One More Red Nightmare" has been played live... but not by Kc.
Anyway, the question was 15) What is the only recorded KC track not appearing on a studio or live album? - so not appearing on either live or studio albums... which is quite puzzling.

I've never come across versions of One More Red Nightmare or Fallen Angel other than their original album versions. |

Damn, this is hard. I think Kurt Cobain said something along the lines of "Kc were the best band" etc. ... but I said that too, so does it count?
I thought of "Dr. Diamond" as well (great song, by the way), but it appears onThe Great Deceiver , I think. So it has been played live, that's for sure. Therefore the answer to that must be something that no one's ever heard.
