Mine two, WWS... I'm appreciating Proto-Kaw pacas!
But, considering that Proto-Kaw is the re-edition of "early Kansas" shouldn't we say that they also influenced Kansas? [/QUOTE]
You´re right, like before became after, but now before is after in a kind of way
So Proto Kaw (or early Kansas) influenced Kansas

I had to choose Enchant because I haven't listened to the others yet!

IMO Proto-Kaw although no brilliant is much better than any Kansas. Even early Kansas recordings released recently under Proto-Kaw name is better that the rest of Kansas discography. Enchant's output is so weak and faceless that can't be compared with Kansas at all. I do not know Cryptic Visions but Enchant, Kansas and Proto-kaw belong to different levels of progressive music, where Proto-Kaw is the better one.

I like them all but Enchant I think I like most, I own all of Proto Kaw`s stuff, Before became after is brilliant , not to happy with their latest CD The wait for Glory though it sounded less inspired to my way of thinking. and I have the first Cryptic Vision CD it is very good .... it`s close.
A few other bands that seem to draw some influence from Kansas are ... Under the Sun ... Magellan (Trent Gardner has worked with members from Kansas) ..Salem Hill ... Shadow Gallery (not so much their balls and chunk ) ... Glass Hammer and I can hear some influence in some of Spocks Beards stuff.
This said there is only one band that sounds just like Kansas and that's Kansas Americas premier and the worlds most underrated progressive rock band !

I can't vote here because I only know Enchant. I think this band is quite underrated.

Man, I still hear zero Kansas influences with Enchant. Another one of those bands that I should've sampled before buying.
My vote is for Proto-Kaw. They don't necessarily sound like Kansas, but they're the best of the bunch. Cryptic Vision aren't bad, though.

Of all the off shoot bands that were influenced by Kansas (of course Proto Kaw has Livgren) which is your favorite? The other option is for other bands you can think of that were influenced by Kansas.
My vote is Proto Kaw, followed closely by Enchant.
