Thanks for educating us on the mediocrity that is Agalloch. You could say our eyes are opened!

OK, I'll just tell you one thing... Agalloch hail from the same hometown as someone I happen to like very much. Satisfied now? BTW, their music IS very good indeed, and I'd like to explore it further.

Anothor reason... Hm.... Is that because you found their CDs for very cheap, 3 euros each? Bad attempt... Or maybe because of Agalloch's guitarists' obsession with 70's symphonic prog and modern swedish prog?
Or is it because Assaf is into them as well?

I heard the sample from "The Mantle", and I liked it a lot - they're much more my cup of tea than DT, even though I'm not crazy about the growling vocals. However, I have another reason for being intrigued by this band....but I'm not going to tell you!

Agalloch make very sophisticated and beautiful music, Raffella, it is not surprising you find it pleasant. I suggest you buy their latest masterpiece, although you can't go wrong with any of their full-length studio albums!

You'll be surprised to see me commenting on this video, but I did watch it and was very much impressed. The growling voice is not really my cup of tea, but the music is excellent - and the mountain landscape extremely beautiful.

The video was great by the way. I expected it to look more mallcore and MTV-like and the song would be cut from all of its excellent parts and turn into a Panopticon worship song(not that it would be a bad thing).

The song is cut in half time wise, but is still pretty cool.
