Much as I love the Floyd, Yes are simply incomparable. Yes, a thousand times ...

I used to prefer Yes but I think I slightly prefer Pink Floyd now. Yes is easier to get into for me, I guess because they are more vibrant like Camel but I can only listen to a few songs in a row before they start to annoy me. Pink Floyd is more enjoyable because it has a nice cool sound that never gets on my nerves. Really, though, it depends on my mood. Tomorrow I'll probably just like Yes just fine :)

Pink Floyd! Yes, with the switching musicians, don't have the excellence in texts and concepts. But Yes is good groove too...

Two phantastic bands, both however with material of an uneven quality (from superb to mediocre). I think Yes wins by the smallest of margins because they've made the best albums. No Pink Floyd album can match the overall quality of Close To The Edge and Relayer, even though Wish You Were Here and Meddle comes pretty close.

Hmm... One group makes happy songs, the other makes dark songs. I prefer Yes because I find the Pink Floyd "mood" to be so dark and slow that it become a little dreary and boring to me. Yes's upbeat songs keep me on my toes.

I actually voted for YES but it was like going to election and having no greater choice than, forgive me, ONE evil over ANOTHER

I've seen many posts about howe's solos being better than gilmour's...
Are you serious?? Ive never heard a solo with such a sentimental power ... he plays with the soul... howe is just a virtuoso machine... Music is not machinary... still is a good point.. but.. you just cant compare to gilmour...

Where are all the Yes fans who came out in record numbers to vote against DT in the "Yes vs. DT" poll?!? I know Yes has more supporters than this...
Yes gets my vote, though I'm not sure how qualified to vote in this poll. The more I listen to CttE, the more I like it, but I just can't get into Pink Floyd. I think it just reminds me too much of classic rock radio or something...

Well I am one of those Yes fans! Yes easily for me....Mucho respect for Floyd, butYes is the finest band of all time to me.....

How can you even vote?
so different, yet so dominant in their category
it has to be a draw

I voted for Pink Floyd. I hate The Wall, but I have enormous respect for DSOTM, WYWH, and Animals. I respect Yes as musicians, and I enjoy CTTE. However, Jon Anderson's vocals, and their lyrics, kill a lot of their music for me. I just can't listen to some of the gibberish they spout. Pink Floyd is a more complete package, with good vocals and lyrics in general.

But that's the point, no winner is necessary, but the two contestors get their point in the light.
BTW Rush vs Genesis winner is Rush

Yes is defiantly more complex than Pink Floyd in my experience, but for that reason Pink Floyd songs are fun to play on guitar and they look difficult but aren’t really.
To save time I’m just going to say: Yes beats all!
