Banana by the smallest possible margin, peaches can be too messy to eat.

I vote for peaches... the offer of bananas here is astonishing (that's why people from the civilized world call us "banana republics", ahem ![Clown](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley8.gif) ).
The price difference is incredible. I saw one single water banana costing about USD 1.00 in London while here you can buy a dozen (yes, 12) of what we call golden bananas for USD 0.60 meaning 0.05 per unit. Water bananas are even cheaper.

Both work for me.
Although I'm sure I've eaten more bananas....but still....

I love bananas, but you can only get good peaches when they are in season. There is nothing like biting into a big juicy peach, and getting your face all messy.

Hmm...I think peach, when they're ripe they're lovely, though often the supermarkets sell them over-chilled and claim they're ready to eat when they aren't. Whereas you can pretty much eat a banana in any state, so long as the skin isn't broken.
