Thanks for persisitng with theis Eetu, it was clearly wrong. I have now set up Fripp and Eno as a separate artist, consolidated the albums there, and moved the reviews. Only one duplicate review I think, now removed. A biography, band photo, and full discography now needed from someone please. Alan Parsons entries are correct by the way, they are two separate bands/artists (Like the various Manfred Mann entries). I don't think there is any overlap with albums, there shouldn't be).

Luckilly this case is not about of "splitting" anything, but joining up. Besides, any kind of solutions should not be avoided only if one individual of a big comminuty "isn't in to them", if a proper solution is reached with these actions.
Any similar unclarities concidering Alan Parson's records you mentioned should be cleared out too, please bring the details up on this section or thread.

Well, I'm not really into disambiguations or splits. Just thinking of how Alan Parsons gets two section instead of a clear mentioning or the name (or brand) change. Edited by Ricochet - July 25 2006 at 02:28 |

I'm only annoyed regarding the different ratings and review factor.

Here are the three other albums, which have two different ratings on different pages, please check 'em out:
Evening Star on Eno's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=8145
Evening Star on Fripp's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=8144
The Essential Fripp & Eno on Eno's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=9330
The Essential Fripp & Eno on Fripp's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=9608
The Equatorial Stars on Eno's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=8142
The Equatorail Stars on Fripp's page : http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_CD.asp?cd_id=8141
A proposal for solution: Create a new hidden artist page for "Fripp & Eno", bring here the Fripp & Eno albums, combine the reviews from the separate album pages to a these as one Fripp & Eno album pages, and share these albums to both Robert Fripp's and Brian Eno's discographies. Then there are only one album entries and ratings for these now schizoid entries.
The current solution concidering these albums is not a working one. Edited by Eetu Pellonpää - July 25 2006 at 02:24 |

^ In addition to this, the same albums have different ratings and reviews, depending from through which artists page the revies are done!

Robert Fripp has done at least four official albums with Brian Eno, these collaborations carrying the artists name FRIPP & ENO. The original artists name for these releases truly is "Fripp & Eno", which is visible in the covers and in catalogs mentioning this release. Here at the PA their albums have been shared in both discographies of Robert Fripp and Brian Eno. This causes the artists name being either ROBERT FRIPP "No Pussyfooting (with Brian Eno)" or BRIAN ENO "No Pussyfooting (with Robert Fripp), depending on which page these albums are viewed. This is incorrect information!
It should be FRIPP & ENO "No Pussyfooting" (etc.) on both artists discographies, in order to present the artists name correctly. Can it be coded that way?
