Of all the Hawkwind I have heard, this one is the best. It's the most melodic of all their efforts and has great lyrics and music. The riffs are great, the singing is a lot better and overall its very accessible and easy to like. Other Hawkind albums are loaded with filler, this gem as almost none. Robert Calvert really does great things here, his brilliance shows. There are comparisons to punk and new wave which I can't deny, but the prog spirit is still alive. Close minded proggers who think that only pure prog should be on an album need not apply, but If your adventurous and want a great listen/trip, get this gem off Ebay (it's sadly out of print).
