Looking at the first page of the following threads I found this many topics about Neo-Prog:

Even going to the second page, all I found was 2 Neo-Prog topics in the Prog Music Lounge. That makes only 3 total.

It's totally out of control.  Considering how many new members select some permutation of "dream theater" as their nick, not surprising I suppose.  Of course, they arrive and think it's either clever or novel to compare their gods to some lesser, mortal band.  Wink

I don't know how it can be handled - would the admins put a moratorium on DT polls?

This morning I entered the forum and found four or five polls with DT in them.... I've got to the point that I start shouting "No! Please! Take them away from me!" whenever I see their name, or even the names of individual band members...Cry
 
I wouldn't mind it if the DT polls were DT against bands that were at least in the same genre and posters would be able to do a logical and interesting comparison about what is better about both bands, but "Dream Theater vs. King Crimson" on this site is like "ELP vs. Miles Davis" on a jazz forum.
