Topic: Mars Volta tour Posted: May 30 2006 at 09:44 |
I was excited to hear that the tour is coming within about half an hour of where I live. I'm definately going. I'm a big fan of RHCP and TMV, so it should be a good show. The only problem for me is getting the money for the tickets.

Well, it shouldn't be so surprising, seen as Flea and John Frusciante play on both TMV albums. BTW, I thank you all for the information - I'll try to catch the gig, even if I'm not a big RHCP fan (I like some of their stuff, but it's not really my cup of tea).

This tour is gonna be awesome...My friend, who is a huge RHCP fan (and adamant TMV hater...go figure) got us tickets, and when I told him TMV was touring with them he laughed. But hey, I like RHCP a lot too, and I've never seen TMV live, so should be interesting

So the Mars Volta is about to kick off a tour with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers . The nearest concert to me is about 3-4 hours away (which is no big deal) but they're playing with the chilli peppers. Which means, I have to pay more than just The Mars Volta not get as good of seats in a more crowded arena and they won't play for the 2 1/2 hours like they do on their own.
But hey I'm still happy I'll get to see them.
