Topic: Kaipa studio albums Posted: May 19 2006 at 09:34 |
What about Notes of the Past? I listened to all three newer Kaipa albums only briefly, but that's the one I remember.

What DO you like?
Because all I ever see you talk about is stuff you don't like.

"I am not into classifying" (as one member here likes to state), but I think Kaipa are still symphonic rather than neo.

Keyholder.....a great symphonic prog album.
Mindrevolutions was slightly disappointing, none of the songs on it really grabbed me.

Out of the two it's Mindrevolutions, but there are better albums by Kaipa as already mentioned.
Funny thing about Kaipa, Musically they're excellent (I'm a fan of Stolt & Lundin), but the vocals let them down. Aleena is an underrated singer, but is not used enough. Patrick Lunstrom has a definite 'Eurovision' sound to his voice, but seems to be the main vocalist!
Is it only me that thinks the band should go down the 'Female Front-man' route?

I actually am very sure about it - Stockholm Symphonie is a bootleg from their Stockholm gig (do not know which year though) and was released in Japan in 1993.

Is that a bootleg? its listed as a studio album in the archives. |
Frankly I am not sure about it, I remember someone told me it's their official bootleg...

Keyholder all the way! Mindrevolutions is good but it's more airy and lacks the edge of Keyholder in my humble opinion.

"Keyholder" is better than "Mindrevolution", "Notes from the past" is much better than "Keyholder", and three albums released in 70's are much better than "Notes from the past", especially first two - which are absolutely brilliant . Therefore I can say that "Mindrevoltion" is rubbish.

Was listening to Mindrevolutions today and was wondering what the rest of the world thought about it. I prefer Keyholder. Another question may have been, 'Are there any Kaipa fans out there?'
