Hi Rosescar,
Thank you for taking the time to listen to my stuff, and ur comments......
At the moment nothng is fully in context as these are just snapshots of the whole piece.......
The track at the moment is roughly like this:
1.Lagan (thats a virtual guitar synth at the moment) 2.The Belfast Men (upbeat celtic with Camel feel to it including industial interludes) 3.The Launch1 (The mid-scene setter ie brassband/crowds) 4.The Launch2 (An echo of Lagan to it) 5.Making Waves (Floaty sailing along sorta thing) 6.Into Darkness (well its dark and foreboding..) 7.Cold As Ice (This is to have a build up added to it..heavy) 8.Impact.......(Heavy Marrilion Feel currently in 7/8 ) 9.Chaotic Section(workin title......heavy with synth snd guitar solos etc......iron maiden meets camel meets an orchestra...nice) 10.Let me go or This Waters Deep.....(A child sees her mother drown......A strangely sad beautiful piece soft underwater feel ul need to hear the demo)......the only part with a human voice in it 11. CQD/SOS.......(Classical/Ambient/Rock Ending) 12. 1912......(will be a seperate but related part of the track) Hope that helps a bit!......im generally working on the more ambient /classical parts at the moment........Parts might change as i go on but thats the general flow...... I also have seperate shorter tracks to make a complete cd... |

I've listened to all other songs too. Launch day is nothing, Lagan has
a nice ambience and the guitar sounds good too - keep it the way it is.
Cold As Ice is a bit the same as Lagan except that is doesn't have a climax... but perhaps, if you've completed the whole 20-minute song, it'll serve a good use as coda or bridge. |

I've listened to 9112-9112 and like it a lot. It's classic prog rock
like Genesis and Yes but the celtic flute give a nice touch to it.
In what exact sequence should it be played? |

Firstly........Hi to all!
Im a solo musician , currently working on a project entitled "1912"
Ive got a couple of demos posted at http://www.soundclick.com/circlesofstone
Any feedback / opinions wud be much appreciated !
My influences range from Celtic, classical, soundtrack orientated, with influences from bands such as Camel,Marillion,Iona,Mike Oldfield etc......
Im still working on the more "prog / rock" sounding pieces, butI will be adding more parts of the project on a ,hopefully, regular basis.......(its about 15-20 mins long so far)
Any guitar u hear is "virtual" at the moment, but will eventually be replaced by a real one, as and when funds allow!..........im a bass player and keyboard /synth player usually so playing 6 string for pretty much the first time is going to be "much fun"...........
"Cold As Ice" is the most atmospheric part thereat the mo, and probably the best one to listen to first............
"Lagan" has a celtic / latter day Camel /Mike Oldfield feel about it
"1912" Is soft Celtic /classical inspired......
"The Launch" is fairly short and is more of a scene setter
hope to chat soon !
Peace from Bleat
