The Game and Innuendo are great too. Every Queen album has its strong moments. Even the mainstream 80s (well, laugh now: there are songs on Hot Space that I enjoy - exceptions Body Language and Cool Cat - nice vocals on this one though but the song is too poppy). I recommend the Made in Heaven album - it surprised me in quite a pleasant way.
Queen has always been one of my favourite bands, never disappointed me, never got bored listening to their albums.

I wonder how many of the voters understand the poll properly ... ![LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) I guess 50% just voted for their favorite Queen album.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that thinks "Jazz" is a great album. I thought it was a pretty daring move for them. Everybody was talking about "Bicycle Race," and "Fat Bottomed Girls," but I was digging on the other tracks. Cool stuff.

There are few brilliant moments in 80s, like "Machines ( or Back to Humans)". Great track!
Generally their proggiest album is "Flash Gordon" but it's deffinitively not their best...
And "A Day At The Races" is very underrated album, IMO. I won't dare to
say that is bettter than "A Night..." but it's very, very close.
Contains few gems like "Millionaire Waltz" and beautiful and unique
"You take my breath away" and simple but heavy "White Man".
Don't laugh, I just discovered sheer beauty of silly "Good oldfashioned
lover boy" after all these years. I used to skip that track, but not I
am astonished everytime when I listen to the guitar solo...a
masterpiece!

I would argue that News of the World was their last album with no
filler. I love that album from start to finish and it's probably my
second favorite of tgheirs overall, after Queen II. They made lots of
great music after NotW, but there were always a few sub-standard tracks
in there to round it out.

Yes, good to see you back on PA, Mark.
I enjoyed listening to your music. Good stuff
Anyway! Queen. I think their last truly great album was a 'Night at the Opera' but generally I dont think they made a bad album. 'AKOM' 'Hot Space' are their weakest IMO, but even they have moments.
