I did "runlikehell ikawua"...for two years jejejeje
naaa, I did like two years of karate when I was like...9 or 10...
Now I find it a bit stupid...doing karate when you are a kid is just for fun...it´s not like a robber is gonna try no mob you and you´ll kick his ass...

Never formally practiced martial arts of any description but my friend who did Karate, and another who does boxing, have given me a few tips.
I would like to give Jeet Kun Do a go though

About 7/8 years ago I was a brown & double white belt in karate. Basically... The next belt was black... yet for some stupid reason I quit.
Anyhow, skip to today, as a pro-wrestler I use a lot of kicks in my asenal (Although I'm nowhere near as good as I was 10 years ago) though I do still use some impressive looking kicks.
I'd love to take up Capoaria or whatever it's called though. VERY impressive looking stuff.

i practised WADO-RYU karate in the 70's and reached 5th kyu, then did KATEDA (tibetan) self-defence in the 80's, and reached black belt! bit out of condition now though, and i never had to use it in anger, fortunately.

These guys (this is exceptionally rare, because I rarely have to defend myself) never knew what happened to them, they have no rememberances of the ambulance taking them to the hospital , and they took a few days to come out of it. Some still probably have sequels of brushing with my safety. All remember the drubbing, though.
I am not as quick today, though

Hmm... youre one tough guy huh..
You mean, like the Steven Segal type of fighting??
|
certainly not a tough guy!!!
but when someone is out for me menacing my safety, then I take no chance, he strikes me once and I make sure he does not a second time, I remove him for a long time from being aggressive to anyone.
>>> generally the guys I beat up in my life (not more than 10 and the last one some 10 years ago, and he was bothering three others before me), all were the tough guys looking for trouble and they expected me to be an easy prey especially with my calm attitude >> this is a great advantage (for me, that is)
I hate violence , so I avoid those type of movies (I think I never saw one Segal movie)

You sounded a lot like my dad there.

let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword

I hope they get a just punishment. I hate that stuff. |
They were never caught. It happened after a Peter Hammill concert, of
all things. I went there alone (none of my friends wanted to accompany
me, because no-one liked Peter Hammill; I didn't know Jean back then).
These guys must have been at the concert too and followed me when I was
on my way to the next tram station.
