Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater, Magellan, Cairo, Savatge, Symphony X, Queensryche, Kansas, Enchant, Transatlantic are some of many good examples |
Magellan,Cairo,Kansas are not prog metal.
Queensryche I never considered prog metal either.
And Transatlantic are definitely not prog metal or a US band, with 2 members from the US,1 from Sweden and 1 from England.
| You don consider Queensryche prog metal?...what are they then, jsut metal?

US and Sweeden are tied IMO with them both having some very good prog metal but I'll vote for US to keep them on track.

Both North American and Scandinavian origins seem to fill most
Progressive Metal (or even raw metal) bands with an immediate
advantage, looming as an uncanny, congenial trait of some unearthly
magnanimity of sorts.
