I would use Peter's time machine and head out for San Fran in 66 , play the lotery in order to finance this wild day dream, get in to the concert halls all over the US, Canada, UK, France, Germany etc... with today's state-of-the-art cameras and tape all of the concerts I get to see and keep them until the mid-90's and then hand them to the artistes (groups ) so they can release them onto DVD.
I would also try to convince Caravan to record one more album like grey and pink or If I Could
I Would
I Would
I Would
I Would

Fuchk!!!!! I gotta stop daydreaming

The musical career of Genesis could use some tweaking to make sure their golden era would last a little longer.
I'll travel back to England in 1948 to get my doctor's education, which will get me the chance to "accidentally" remove Phil Collins' vocal chords when he's still young. After that, I will teach at Charterhouse and help Anthony Phillips to conquer his upcoming stage fright. Furthermore, I plan to teach little Anthony Banks a few harsh lessons in humility.
Next, I will intercept the demo they try to send to Jonathan King and will offer them a contract, if they agree to the inclusion of extra guitarist Steve Hackett and that weird mute drummer Phil Collins right away.
This contract must be signed in blood and it means no one can leave the band for all eternity.

Another thing: I'd kill Billie Joe Armstrong before he even learned to play guitar! Actually, I'd kill all those bands who started the punk movement

Get Syd Barrett help to resolve his LSD addiction and instead of Dave Gilmour leaving Floyd if Syd was to return but have them both working side by side, so Pink Floyd would stay as a 5 piece band, I wonder how cool DSOTM would sound if Barrett contributed to the album, but how would have WYWH album have turned out if he was still present in the group??
How would the bitter 1987 lawsuit have turned out, when Water sued the band for using the PF name without his consent, I think it would have been more difficult for Waters to do that if Barrett was present, cause Waters wouldn't have the same power as Barrett was a founder too!! and I think it wouldn't have come to that if Waters wanted to leave Floyd, I think the situation would have been totally different.
How would Floyd have worked out if Barrett stayed??
Would Pink Floyd be still around, I wonder!!

So, you guys are fine with me using your time machine merely to gratify my lust for Kate Bush, and get her "up the stump" with my love child?
Maybe I'll try to push her more toward prog while I'm at it....

#1: Convincing the other guys about Hackett would be good, as would showing them "We can't dance". Convincing Peter to work on the Lamb with the rest of them would be good too!
#2: Keep Jackson and Banton from leaving VDGG.
#3: Keep GG from blowing it all up.
#4: Destroy whatever made Yes's various members to do what they did in the 80's. Failing that, convince Squire to make more solo albums.
#5: Make Latimer and Bardens keep working well together.

September, 1970, Lakeside School, Seattle
Take up computer programming, become best friends with Bill Gates, sit on his coat tails.
1979, start a record label devoted entirely to the development and marketing of progressive music - it could even lose money for all I cared, by now I'm an executive at Microsoft and staring to make money. Maybe I could have changed the 80's music scene...

Yes -- damnit, you CHEW that puke, Jimi!

Hmmm... maybe I'd hide all the metal bands' keyboards and old prog albums, so they'ed leave our music the F**K ALONE!

Either that, or arrange it so I could be Mr. Kate Bush, starting back when she was young, lithe, lissome and oh-so-SEXY!
"Never mine the 'kick inside,' Katie, me dear, how's about this?"

Yep, Peter's gone deep in the Bush again....
Bush fever? Bushwhacked?

I would have taken with me copies of reviews of Works Vol. I, Works Vol. II, and Love Beach and posted them to Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

I'd hover round behind Derek Shulman and slap him every time he suggested to Kerry and co that they try and make a single.
