Thanks, Masque. I also recommend the program mpTrim which also can be used to adjust the loudness of MP3 files. It can also be used to remove silent or unwanted parts of tracks and create fade-in/out on tracks:

I found a great program some of you may be interested  , its freeware and its called Mp3 Gain 

Ever noticed when you are making a prog compilation some MP3`s are much louder than others ? MP3 Gain can fix that  easily and without losing any quality !  Its simple to use and it will optimize your MP3`s so your compilations sound great , no other program Ive used is as effective as MP3 Gain !   

This is a great program , best of all 100% free
