I'm also a big Peart fan, so I voted for Rush - with Waters' Floyd and Jethro Tull as very close seconds.

Difficult to choose between Genesis and Yes. And IQ as an unconfortable third!

But I think that Supper's ready, Watcher of the sky and Battle of Epping Forest are the best lyrics ever!

jethro tull of course!! i love songs from the wood especially jack-in the green.

"does the green still run deep in your heart?
Or will these changing times,
motorways, powerlines,
keep us apart?
Well, I don't think so
I saw some grass growing through the pavements today."

though songs from the wood is not the most progresive album of j tull, not like thick as a brick and a passion play at least, at the same form i think songs from the wood is a progressive album even for the most of people not consider like a prog album.

I voted for Marillion, but Fish Marillion.  I do not care for most of Steve Hogarth's lyrics.

I like abstract lyrics so it's a toss up between Genesis and IQ (....and just about any other prog band)

IQ- heads

Genesis - tails

Heads it is.

I would've maybe voted Yes on second thought, merely because i think Yes' lyrics simply create art through word of mouth, as it is that they are usually pretty bankrupt of comprehendible meaning, but I'm still a fan of Neil Peart and Rush.
