Derek: Being on stage is like an extension of my childhood. It's like the stage is a national park, and my childhood is the moose in the park that they're trying to preserve.
Marti: So when you're on stage you feel like a 'preserved moose'?

'My baby fits me like a flesh tuxedo
I like to sink her with my pink torpedo!
Big bottoms, Big bottoms..
Talk about mud flaps my girls got 'em.
Big bottoms drive me out of my mind..
How can I leave this behind?..'

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

No Way, amazing movie but no.

"What we do, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?"
"Put it up too 11?"
"11. Exactly, one louder"
"Why don't you just make 10 louder and make 10 be the top number and make that a little louder?"
(After Thinking for a minute) "These go to 11."

I hear Phil Collins is to be their next drummer.

A salesman, like maybe in a, uh, haberdasher, or maybe like a, uh, um... a chapeau shop or something. You know, like, "Would you... what size do you wear, sir?" And then you answer me.
Marti: Uh... seven and a quarter.
Nigel: "I think we have that." See, something like that I could do.
Marti: Yeah... you think you'd be happy doing something like-...
Nigel: "No; we're all out. Do you wear black?" See, that sort of thing I think I could probably... muster up.
Marty: Do you think you'd be happy doing that?
 Nigel Well, I don't know - wh-wh-... what're the hours?

"The Review you had on Shark Sandwich which was merely a two word review, just said sh*t sandwich."
Where did they print that?
Derek Smalls: That's not real, is it?
Nigel Tufnel: Now that's nit picking isn't it

David: They said the album cover is a bit sexist.
Nigel: Well, so what? What's wrong with being sexy?
David: Sexist, Nigel.

'The Gospel According to Spinal Tap': This pretentious, ponderous group of rock psalms prompts the question "On what day did God create Spinal Tap?" and couldn't he have rested on that day too?

Those are the best lines as far as I'm concerned.

Oh God you're killing me here, Especially with the first one, cause It's such an awkward situation! The way he interrupts the guy, Classic.

My favorite album is Shark Sandwich.
I knew I had to have it after I read the two word review that said 'sh*t Sandwich'.
They really were a band of 'Deep Thinkers'.

Well they have a crazy keyboard player so they have the prog format goin on.  Big bottom was revolutionary in its utilization of the "triple bass sound."  And who can forget their wonderfully awful experimental jazz phase they went through for the better half of about an hour?  They also took a conceptual approach to their lyric writing, an example is taking a complicated and sophisticated idea like sex and putting it in a farm context.  pure genious!
