Tough question.  I voted for Io Sono Nato Libero but could have easily have voted for Darwin.  I guess I just wanted to even the score a little more since Darwin is in the lead.  These albums are part of my treasured all time favorite releases.  Absolute CLASSICS, MASTERPIECES FOR ALL TIMES!!!!

Io Sono Nato Libero passes an important test in the Micky household.... my wife doesn't ask me to turn it off when in the same room together... and actually I think she likes it. Especially La Citta' Sottile. Caught her humming it.... I'll take my victories when I can.  We've been married 11 years now and the prog albums she can stand.... can count on two hands hahahahha.

I voted for "Io Sono": it ¡s the boldest and most varied of all these 3 bold and varied albums.

   Regards.

The first BDMS album i listened was their first ,i remember that i fell in love with immediately ,i really enjoyed 3 first songs, others were a bit boring to my taste, maybe because in that time i was not into Italian prog. After discovering Darwin! (of wich i read was a masterpiece in many critical reviews),it became one of my top ten albums of all time. And so after,i went further into Italian prog, with L'Orme,PFM,Museo, etc,.

Ars longa , vita brevis

I can listen to "Io Sono..." all the way through; "Darwin" is a close second (but there's a track or two that I normally skip), and the debut....  well, I much prefer the English-language "Banco" versions of songs from the debut album, or the re-recorded versions from the early 90's.  Just a question of sound quality.
