About South-American prog, I'd add to the previous list the following (all Brazilians):

  • QUATERNA RÉQUIEM
  • TÉSIS ARSIS
  • VESANIA
  • CRONOS MUNDI
  • WIRMANN & VOGEL (not yet in PA)
  • ACIDENTE
  • KARNAK (not in PA)
  • 14-BIS (not in PA, but really prog or prog-related)
  • HADDAD

Hi enter their website www.automata.cl. There you can listen to their music. These guys are the closest Belew-Fripp KC I've heard.

14-BIS is the continuation of O TERÇO, although they are more more accessible (consequently they got some commercial success). 14-BIS work could be classified as art-rock or at least prog-related.

MARCO ANTONIO ARAUJO - "Influencias"!!!!

(doesn't anyone know this?!?!?!?)

MUTANTES - "A e o Z"; "Tudo foi feito pelo sol"

TERÇO - "Criaturas da noite"; "Terço II"

SAECULA SAECULORUM - "Saecula saeculorum"

this is only brazilian prog..... Marco Antonio Araujo is no doubt the greatest one among these.... I've never seen anyone talking about him, even in SA prog polls.... influencias is one of my favorite prog albums ever..... my only advice: listen to it.
