Welll, the yfit the neo label since their music is pretty much inspired by classic Genesis (or classic Camel or early 80s Yes or Alan Parsons Project). That's the standardized label for bands influenced by the aforemntioned bands... not those influenced by KC, Univers Zero or Return to Forever, well...
Citizen Cain is, in my mind, a perfetly neo band, and what a band. Their first two albums hadenough complexity to show that they could play some great stuff way beyond their obvious influences; their last two showed that they could create original neo-prog, a new neo so to speak...

Hmmm... The only Neo-prog I know are Spock's Beard, Flower Kings, and Porcupine Tree.
Looks like I've been missing out on quite a few bands
Maybe this isn't the place to ask, but where should one start if they want to Neo-Prog experience?

I`d go back , all the way back to "Fish" Marillion for that type of experiance
