Obscured by Clouds for me. I love the whole album (except the end of Mudmen) - it's a bit different.

Animals, Wish You Were Here, Meddle, Dark Side are all very good too.

Perfectly stated, but my favorite Pink Floyd album is Animals!

I've gone for Animals, although I have to confess that I've not heard many of their earlier albums...

Animals. Some of the best lyrics and music in one album. I never tire of listening to it.

Obscured by Clouds, because it contains two of the Floyd's best ever tracks, Childhood's End and Free Four

Most of all (or only?)   I love Wish you were here!

I think it's the most expressive opus from 70's.......i love Welcome to the machine and the shine "saga"........the only weak link is wish you were here, a power ballad a little bit boring (not in live performance, maybe)

Look in the mirror...my friend!

Animals without a doubt. It's simply pure skill the whole way through. A Brilliant mix of lyrics and great tunes.

I like all of them up until Darkside.

Don't like that filler album Animals, which reminds me of Zeppelin's Presence.

And I try to stay away from that double album with that disco song on it.

Meddle for me, but since it is not up there I'll go for my second favorite, Piper at the Gates of Dawn.

For me, the four albums from Meddle to Animals are all astounding works, and my preference between them depends only on my mood.  However, if a gun were put to my head, I'd probably go for Wish You Were Here, because it is so polished, but still retains its emotion and colour.

Wish You Were Here is, to me, the highest point in Floyd's career.  Shine on is a masterpiece from the beginning to the end and the three other tracks are also very good.  But Animals, in its concept and intelligence, comes very close to WYWH.  The Wall and Dark Side are also fantastic albums that deserve a good attention.

It's kind of a toss up between Animals and Wish You Were Here, but I'll give it to the latter.

They are all wicked I personally like Pipers, Saucerful, Animals, Wish You were here, and dark side, plus Echoes from Meddle (in fact where is Meddle?) but Iv gone for DSOM, ok I know its the commercial one and the 'definative' floyd album to many both prog and non-prog fans but the reason why I picked was not so much about the album itself songwise but the way the album was created, I mean alot of the stuff they were doing on that album like the whole double tracking, thoe craetion of the dance beats, the layering, creation and mastering the album in general were extremely new and pushing the envelope of how albums are made. Alot of what many producers, mixers etc today consider old hat and bog-standard, school-boy stuff were first pioneered by Floyd and the majority were in the creation of Dark Side of the Moon.
