I have Catch without Arms, it is good but they're far from being highly regarded in my collection. Bit too fluffy and commercial, IMHO.

I liked the sample, but that's not enough for me to judge.

Most definitely one of my favourite bands!

But it sure looks like I seem to appreciate all of them bands labeled 'art rock' over here...

I haven't heard Leitmotif but the other 2 albums are top notch. I prefer El Cielo only because of their dreamy and exellent atmosphere of the whole album, but Catch without arms is good too but from another perspective.

Never heard of them until about a month ago until a friend played one of their songs. I quite enjoy them.

Got "El Cielo" and "Catch Without Arms". The latter was my first album by them. I've discovered Dredg through their music video clip "Bug Eyes" on MTV Rockzone. Normally I don't watch MTV, because they bring on screen more chart-crap, rather good music. I was zapping through the channels and kept hanging on Rockzone, where they played their new video "Bug Eyes" from the Catch Without Arms album, (which wasn't released to this time) and fell in love with it. They are a AWESOME band! "El Cielo" is a modern art rock masterpiece, "Catch Without Arms" is just a slight bit worse, but still great! I've also reviewed these both albums here in the progarchives. Check 'em out!

Very good band.

I love El Cielo very much and Catch... and Leitmotif as well, but less than Cielo.

I am surprised that they are not known here. I was sure everybody knew them. I was in Amsterdam a few months ago, and I met some non-prog people who knew them and were very enthusiastic about them. Even where I live the "prog community" knows about them and their albums receive much praise.

recently, catch without arms has been on the top of my list. I've also grown to love Leitmotif, and would also consider it a masterpiece...except for the last song: "20 Hour Sleep"...whic his essentially 17 mintes of sounds effects, and not a cool way to end an otherwise heavy/agressive album. But it's still very good.

They have jumped lately to at least in my top 5 for favorite bands of all time. they are wonderful.

I'm a reasonable man, get off my case

I like them a lot.

Catch Without Arms is my favorite, though El Cielo is great as well (Leifmotif only has couple of good songs, it's more grunge/alt rock album). But I have to say that at least on Catch Without Arms they sound quite mainstream, very accessible and not very prog.

Great band though.

Dredg is marvelous. El Cielo is one of my favorite albums. I also love Catch Without Arms. Leitmotif is pretty good too, but it certainly doesn't touch those.

well, i have to say Dredg is a very accesible band and very easy to get into IMO. Im just listened to them and now i love the band. Whoa is Me is one of most beautiful songs i ever heard in these last years.
