Topic: Best Pink Floyd Epic/Mini-Epic Posted: December 15 2005 at 18:04 |
A Saucerful of Secrets from Ummagumma is my favorite, that song alone is worth purchasing the album. I am breathless at the end of the live album because of that song.

echoes, echoes, echoes...this is a brilliant song and defiantely the best "epic" by pink floyd in my opinion...but i feel compelled to name my runners up...:
2. Shine on you crazy diamond
3. Pigs (Three Different Ones)
4. Atom Heart Mother (this is an amazing song almost the whole way through but it gets a little drab near the end...but usually the climax more than makes up for it)
5. Dogs
6 DSOTM

God damn! Echoes or Shine on you Crazy Diamond! It really
depends on what sort of mood I am in. Soooo hard to
decided. However... I settled with Echoes... for now... >_>

Raw emotion, beautifull playing, wonderfully atmospheric. 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond'.

Echoes totally outrules Shine On, it's far more diverse and I like the vocals better.

You actually have heard a part of Echoes- in Is There Anybody Out There, it has a bit of the echoes from Echoes playing low under the main music. I think it's after the second 'Is there anybody out there'

To me, it's Shine on first, but Echoes, the wall, AHM and all the animals songs are very close
