Topic: What do you think of the monster? Posted: January 04 2006 at 16:14 |
Thanks for the comments. Deep Purple is an influence on my
keyboard playing, as well as on our guitarist. I don't think our
rhythm section would be what you'd call "fans", but I don't think they
hate DP either.
We are still moving along with our album, which is nicely strange...just the way I like it!

Nice stuff \
You are quite the keyboardist.

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

That was very nice. I listened to the song, and looked at the video. Only comment I have on 'monkey shines' is the pause which is made for the vocals at the start, but this is not continued in a way that it's a nuisance.
You guys sure are big and hairy.

HOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!
DEFINITELY enjoyed that "Monkey Shines" video a ton, I'm amazed a camcorder captured as much detail as it did! Great work, twisted as all get out and rocks hard to boot!!! :D

People are puzzled why I don't dig the Stones, well, I listened to the Stones, I tried, and I tried, and I tried, and--I Can't Get No Satisfaction!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to post a few comments about my band,
Big Hairy Monster. We are a 4-piece group from Macon, Georgia
trying to do our own thing. We have been recording for a while,
and now have a website up at www.bighairymonster.com
We have a some pictures up, and two videos shot at our debut
concert. While the video quality is good, the audio was done with
a single camcorder mic (in a very live room) so it is not the best of
sound. Also, the file compression to get the 2nd song ("Waiting")
uploaded seems to have muddied the sound a bit. Pictures and
video are up on the PHOTOS tab on the home page.
We also have demos versions (rough mixed and unmastered) for our entire
debut album. Our album, entitled "View" should be out next
year. If you go to the media player, and select +Preview, it will
open the file containing these songs. Be aware that our album is
intended to flow from beginning to end as one continual piece; however,
we have broken the songs up into individual pieces on our web site for
quicker listening...so the songs may appear to end abruptly when they
are actually going into another piece of music. They are also
unmastered, so you may need to kick your volume up a bit on your
computer. The proper song order as intended for the album (since
they are not currently in correct order on the player) are:
1. Black Summer
2. Figure Eight
3. View
4. Monkeyshines
5. Swamp Thing
6. Lake Motel
7. Waiting
8. Preservation Jam
9. Solitude Standing
10. Departure
Any comments regarding the band, songs, and/or website would be very appreciated! Let us know what you think!
Thanks everyone, and keep on progging!
Cliff
