Other suggestions:

Is Peter Gabriel a miserable gut?

Is Fish a miserable twit?

YOU FORGOT:

IS PETER HAMMIL A MISERABLE GIT?

He msut feel miserable by now, knowing that someone has misspelled his name once again

Tommy,

If you want to hear melody from Fripp, just listen to his solo album Exposure.  There's tons of melody on it.  Otherwise, if you can't handle Fripp's advanced level of melody, then go and listen to Mariah Carey or Madonna.  Simple music for simple minds.

Elwood, Jimmy Herring is an amazing guitarist who is currently playing in "Jazz Is Dead" a jazz band who plays jazz versions of Grateful Dead tunes.  This band featured for one album Billy Cobham on drums.  Jimmy Herring has also played with Allman Brothers Band and Aquarium Rescue Unit.

That probably does not interest you whatsoever, oh well.

Rob Fripp is miserable and it shows in his guitar playing. Someone please explain the meaning of the word melody to him if you ever meet

Indeed, Bob Dylan is most definitely American.

I prefer more miserable artists anyhow, it brings out their best

write upbeat pop songs, good upbeat pop songs mind, like
Sunshine.  It just wouldn't be the same.

Elwood Blues yes, Jimmy Herring no (no idea who he is!)

Another really dumb post.  Whoever started this is the true "miserable git".

Robert Fripp is a genius, and one of the biggest contributers to prog. music and its history.  He's also very smart, and a funny guy.  And...he's got a cool wife (singer Toyah Wilcox).

Are malicious threads like this one, that attack respected, accomplished musicians actually started by bitter, failed musicians who are jealous of the achievements of others? And by the way, all the bands who aren't among my personal favorites are terribly OVERRATED!!!!!

Robert - Bob - what's the problem with that? And isn't Bob Dylan American?

If you Americans think we English have crazy names, look at some of your own!

(And note I am English but I use an American name. Confused? Not half!)
