My favorite band is Tangerine Dream, but I don't like them in 70's, so I voted for Klaus Schulze.

and the REASON for NO POMPOUS ARSES!
[QUOTE=Space Dimentia] Purveyor to the
Imperialist throne.
We invented prog rock (aswell as heavy rock and
heavy metal) so why aren't we allowed to have a
say?
on the 7th day the QUEEN created.....blah, blah, blah

Well, I think Genesis and Yes are the best, they are prog GODS and they have their own private "class" of "Prog Gods"...
I think King Crimson, Rush, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, ELP and the rest are absolute geniuses and they are as close as you can get to be prog gods but... just not quite....
Therefore, It was either Yes or Genesis for me... I voted Genesis just because Yes always seem to win polls! thats odd...

Since many important bands are missing (Gentle Giant, Camel, Renaissance, Curved Air, Strawbs, Gryphon, King Crimson, Fireballet, Steeleye Span, VDGG, Eno, etc.) it's a useless poll. Therefore, I'm not going to vote!!!!! Ha ha.

I just took it as a joke. At least I think that's how it was intended.
