I've met Geoff Downes, playing with Asia in Hamburg, about 3 years ago, if that counts...

I personally met Jon Anderson at the "Tour of the Universe" after the concert. He signed me something and we shaked hands. I bet there will be soon quite many of these "Have you met" polls.

Remember seeing one in concert isn't counted. You must have met them by person (Like if he has signed you something, or if you met in backstage, etc)

If you have a story to tell then do tell, but if you would just write "no I haven't seen any and I dont care..." then please don't write message at all.

I met Bill Buford in the audience at a VDGG concert in Holland two week ago. Was an incredibly wild evening.

Only Wakeman, he didn't bothered when a friend and I got mixed with his staff to avoid two blocks of people waiting in a row, he even shouted to one of his bodyguards not to mess with his fans.

I met Jon anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, alan White and Igor Koroshev and could discuss briefly when they played an accoustic jam in the FNAC record shop in Paris, in front of 30 people back in '98 (or was it '97)

I used to work in a petrol filling station in Elstree (yes this is a Buggles song!) in the late 70's; and Trevor Horn used to come in a fill his car up.

I was early to a Yes show at Birmingham NIA a few years ago and bumped into Alan White outside. Shook hands and said usual you are wonderful stuff. He looked like he was trying to get into the building so I asked him if he wanted a ticket. He said he didn't need one as he already had the best seat in the house.

Never met any Yes man as such, but I did stand next to Bill Bruford in a bar at a local arts centre. I was there to see his band Earthworks, but I didn't know what he looked like back then. Just knew the name.

The moment he sat behind the drums I realised who he was. I remembered him because I had to say 'excuse me' to get past him in the bar.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I voted for Jon Anderson but I have cheated slightly - it was actually my wife. I have told this story here before, but my wife's sister used to cut Jon Anderson's wife's hair (not his current wife). They both went round his house once and Jon came in while my wife was waiting for the hairdressing to finish. Jon came up to her and said "who are you?". My wife had no idea who he was at the time.

Had a flat tyre once and this limo pulled up, out jumped Steve Howe and Jon Anderson, Steve helped find the jacking spot while Jon took the spare out of the boot and we swapped it over....

nah, not really.

But, I did briefly meet Rick Wakeman at Wimbledon Tennis one year. Very friendly but I think he didn't want to be bugged too much, which I didn't. He's bloomin' tall! Wore a casual but expensive looking linen suit and stood out a mile.

Went to the Marquee last Tuseday to see the Syn and for the number of people there and size of the venue, we all could have got up on stage and partied with Chris.

Haven't really met anyone else famous. Sat next to Michael Aspel on easy-jet to Milan a few years back. Went to the US one time and got upgraded as they'd overbooked, and there sitting in Upper Class was Mr Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy. That's about it!

I met and talked briefly with Patrick Moraz in a private party, here in Rio, in the beginning of the 80s (he had lived in Brazil some years before). I was introduced to him by my late brother-in-law, then a lawyer working for Ariola.

Moraz was at that time with Moody Blues. As long as I remember we talked about Brazilian music and food and that's all.
