I'd prefer a tour with the old stuff (will Peter fit in 'the flower'? ) including some songs from Collins-era sung by Gabriel especially those from ATOTT or W&W.
Maybe after touring they could think about a new CD with new material.

I think it's definetely possible for Genesis to make a reunion. At this
point, I think as old men, all of the members of Genesis wouldn't
really feel the need to produce any pop music to appease the billboard
charts and the general masses. What's the point in trying to sell your
self as pop rock group of 60-somethings and 50-somethings?
I agree with sleeper and Moogtron, that I hope that they do the logical
and fair thing and try going back to a "progressive rock" style. I
don't really expect anything that is totally like Pre-Wind and
Wuthering, I mean Genesis could take on avant garde music or jazz
fusion and I wouldn't really mind; in fact I'd love it! I think they've
been avoiding the fans who loved the original line-up. Genesis just
doesn't feel complete without the whole team.
And besides, just because time suggests that the pattern will never
change, once you've been "progressive" you'll NEVER be "unprogressive."

I really hope they'd make a new album. With some daring, progressive influence by Gabriel and Hackett.
[/QUOTE]
From Gabriel and Hackett?. Why don´t you also remember that Gabriel never played a single note for that so called Gabriel-Era-Genesis besides some flute here and there?, and remember that Hackett was a secondary member as far as songwriting goes. The strength of the progressive aproach in early Genesis came from Banks and Rutherford who wrote most of the music in that period.
In my opinion Gabriel kept trying to make artistic music after the 80´s only because he still had the hunger to be recognized not only for his vocal abilities. Plus, go wonder how much of the music and ideas in his albums belong to him, with such a large number of invited musicians.
Many things are said about Hackett and people love bashing Collins for making POP, disregarding it is good pop (at least until "But seriously"). However, everyone forgets about his first two albums which contain great songs away from the mainstream, and forget about his performance in "Brand X" where he proves to be a superb drummer. Hackett on the other hand, is still trying to get the monkey out of his back making albums with the same sound of "The fountain of salmacis".
If a new Genesis album is going to be good, it will be not only because of Gabriel and Hackett...Or what?, are they gonna play drums, bass and write the whole music just to not let the other three put a single second of ordinary music?. Get real ¡¡. What about "The Barry Williams show" ??.

I would love to just see these guys live. Sure, an album would be great (hopefully), but I'd be quite happy with just some concerts. That is, as long as Mr. collins sticks behind the drums and Peter sings. I wouldn't be interested in any live performances of material post The Lamb either.

Don't do it!!!
The moment is long gone and nobody from the band has done any work in recent years to indicate that such a reunion would produce anything other than an overproduced, adult-oriented pop album.

I would love a new album if they were preperd to give it all of their musical talants and be adventures, with peter and steve in the band that last one might not be quite a problem.
If they do tour, I'm first in line for tickets

I'm only 26, so I didn't have the chance to see the classic Genesis on stage. I don't want to miss their tour, but a new album is another question.

That's what I heard too. I hope they make a new album! Besides, can you imagine Gabriel singing the end of the Musical Box? He wouldn't have to dress up!

Be nice to see them work together again and see what comes out of it!

"It's" not right? What's not right? Come on, Peter...you know you want to! It's time to come out of your shell and give the fans, the rest of Genesis AND yourself what they want. You know you do too.

I concur. As far as a concert, I'd sell my house to see it.
