we broke the weather for Eclectic Prog

Or, Crossover. This band is prog, so whatever subcategory the powers that be decide.

Bio: Five-piece band based out of Sommerville, Massachusetts. They formed in 2018 out of basement jam sessions, fusing prog, fusion, psych, math, stoner, and other rock influences. Their first self-titled, self-released album came out in 2022. Their second album Restart Game came out in 2024 on Argonauta Records.

The band’s influences range from the classic prog of bands such as King Crimson, Yes, and Rush to modern prog bands such as The Dear Hunter and Thank You Scientist, as well psychedelic inflected artiss such as King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and Ty Segall.

Thematically, the band’s songs tackle issues such as global warning, pandemics, and authoritarianism.

The band's lineup:

Andy Clark - drums, vocals, percussion

Kev DiTroia - guitars, percussion, synthesizers

Nick Cusworth - keys, synthesizers, vocals, tenor sax, flute

Scott Wood - guitars, vocals, alto sax, percussion

Steve Muscari - bass, guitar, synthesizers
