I'll be back with my picks but I just wanted to say I literally just took out my Zwoyld album to listen to tonight, then I see it here at the bottom of your list.

Far Corner, Koenjihyakkei, Amoeba Split, and Bent Knee. There's quite a few I'm not that familiar with. Driving through Pennsylvania makes me feel hydrogenated and corotated.

At least the number of albums you mention all the time is big enough that I believe I still see some for the first time in one of your polls.
My votes go to Black Country New Road, Kate Bush, Univers Zero, Needlepoint and Oiapok (I don't remember Needlepoint from your polls, on BCNR I'm not so sure; by the way I find Needlepoint's 2024 album quite a bit weaker  than the listed one).
I like the Uboa album and it'll feature on my album of the year list, but I have listened to it just once until now. Too much music, too little time. At some point I gave Far Corner a test listen, and I actually liked it, too, but didn't buy it immediately so I lost it from my radar.
Of course you could challenge yourself to mention only artists you haven't mentioned in polls before for three polls straight! Big smile

Indeed. :)

I have done so many polls (way too excessive at times), and long-form polls at that, that choosing that many artists I have not mentioned would be a challenge indeed, particularly IF those acts have albums that I actually really like (not just once liked, but still remember and care about). There's are lot of middling stuff that I never have bothered to mention because I like to focus on that which has had (and ideally continues to have) a significant impact on me. :) OR I at least really like. There's lot I have liked, even since 2010, that just does not do it for me now.

Nice to se the variety of approaches at PA from different members. I actually do wish more people who try their hand at long-form polls of favourites. I like to see a wide cross-section of an individual's favourite albums (and tracks if there is a playlist, embeds). With most communicative people here I have found music interests in common -- especially when it comes to the 60s and 70s not surprisingly.

------------------------------------------------------------

Ona different note: I notice that I wrote Magma - Félicité Thösz (2102). I thought about correcting it, but then realised that I can claim that 2012 is 2102 when converted into Kobaian years. I satrt at the same year one, but Kobaia takes a little less time to orbit around its sun and so its years are shorter. We could standardise the two calendars (Earth & Kobaia) with leap years but the Kobaia regime is bloody (or glao-y as they call it) hard to negotiate with. Tariffs have been proposed but I'd hate to see additional taxes on Zeuhl. Such de hundin music is for the cosmos to enjoy! Tariffs might put me in the doghouse, but I should keep Earthly-Kobaian politics out of this.

This is part two of the included in PA polls from 2010 until now that cover lots of albums by acts that I have mentioned various times before. Hooray for repetition and nay to originality! ;) I know it can get super-boring seeing the same names come up again and again and super-tedious voting for similar lists with the same names. And, as has been pointed out before. My polls do tend to most attract the same people again and again and leave out the same people again and again from getting involved in posting in the polls.

This is 25 different acts with albums I like from the period. I also did an albums by 25 acts outside of PA for 2010 until now and would like to do one more of those with 25 albums from 25 different acts.

For comparison...

Here is the first poll for music in PA: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=134181

There I covered:

black midi - Hellfire (2022)
David Bowie - Blackstar (2016)
Ciśnienie - The Brass Album (2020)
Richard Dawson - Peasant (2017)
William D. Drake - The Rising of the Lights (2011)
Electric Orange - Volume 10 (2014)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - 'Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! (2012)
Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous (2015)
Kayo Dot - Coyote (2010)
Kikagaku Moyo - House in the Tall Grass (2016)
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland (2017)
Kosmischer Läufer - Volume Three (2015)
Motorpsycho & Ståle Storløkken - The Death Defying Unicorn (2012)
North Sea Radio Orchestra - I a Moon (2011)
Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden of Delete (2015)
Guillaume Perret & The Electric Epic - S/T (2012)
PoiL Ueda - Yosh*tsune (2023)
Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool (2016)
The Smile - Wall of Eyes (2024)
Sprain - The Lamb as Effigy (2023)
Squid - O Monolith (2023)
Susanne Sundfør - Ten Love Songs (2015)
Swans - The Glowing Man (2016)
Thee Oh Sees - Mutilator Defeated at Last (2015)
Chelsea Wolfe - Pain Is Beauty (2013)

The current poll has

Alio Die - Deconsecrated and Pure (2012)
All Hands_Make Light - Darling the Dawn (2023)
Amoeba Split - Dance of the Goodbyes (2010)
Aranis - Made in Belgium (2012)

Goat - World Music (2012)
Homonculus Res - Limiti all’eguaglianza della parte con il tutto (2013)

Le Silo - Yamai (2019)
Uboa - Impossible Light (2024)
Univers Zero - Clivages (2010)
Zwoyld - 200 000 (2014)

And the out of PA poll found here: https://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=134183

Vanishing Twin - The Age of Immunology (2019)
Weyes Blood - And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow (2022)
Xiu Xiu - Plays the Music of Twin Peaks (2016)

So probably not very much of interest across the board for most at the forum, but I plow my own furrows.
