Renaissance was a melodic folk group with symphonic arrangement.
They were a wonderful band (two or three masterpieces in their discography) but not strictly prog, not even symphonic prog, because their art wasnt rock.

I am simply wondering if anyone knows if there are any progressive rock bands who are more melodic. Something along the lines of Le Orme or Pink Floyd. I am searching for long, peaceful, transcending musical pieces that traverses your mind to another place through heavenly melodies and powerful progressions. Can anybody help me? If you can, please respond.
