This isn't really a fair poll, as Owner was obviously written to be an attention-grabbing single, while Subdivisions wasn't. Rush's highest charting single, New World Man, was on the same album, and that might have made a better comparison.
Is anyone stopping you from making your own "fair" poll?

Good grief, Rush played 'regularly' on the radio? you're kidding!

The single over here was Countdown, which by some strange act of witchcraft, managed to chart at No.33, meaning Radio 1's Peter Powell was obliged to play it on the Sunday evening chart show... this was the only time it got played and it promptly dropped through a hole in the floor of popular consciousness...

I'm in Canada, and Rush is mainstream here. If not the biggest name Canadian rock band, it's certainly one of them. I think it's the biggest of the classic rock bands. They have got plenty of media coverage in Canada, and various songs have been in regular rotation on the radio here: Tom Sawyer, Limelight, Working Man, Subdivisions....

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Owner is a good song. Subdivisions is a great song which has some of Peart's best lyrics.

Subdivisions! My stomach decided to divide itself up into smaller parcels, but the food coming into it doesn't read signs or tackle algebra problems.

That'd be me then, bearing in mind the worst YES album is still more appealing to me than the best Rush album, even though I own eight Rush albums. Big smile

Rush obviously. OOALH is way out of the Yes spectrum. I know it was a big hit, and a boost for the band's sales and exposure, but that's all it means to me. Musically, it's to simplistic.

Owner of a Lonely YES album - bearing in mind I didn't buy my second YES album until nearly thirty years later. Embarrassed
