There seems to be something special when it comes to prog years ending in a 3.
There's at least 5 albums I would likely put in my all time top 100 album prog list 1. Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused To Sing 2. Lifesigns - Lifesigns 3. Spock's Beard - Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep 4. Big Big Train - English Electric Part Two 5. Sound Of Contact - Dimensionaut |

Voted for The Tangent. Some good ones in this list. Ayreon, Haken, Sound of Contact, Spock's Beard, and Steven Wilson all had decent albums that year. Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm at a baseball card show.

Whenever I see something like "from this selection" I do wonder "What would be your choice (or choices) that is not listed?" |

^ And I perhaps should have remembered Caillou, although I have not listened to it in years. I've worked mostly from home for many years and it's mostly part-time now. I get the chance to listen to lots of music. I don't listen to as much of the classic era stuff now as many here, but I still discover new-to-me music from many decades. Glad to see you reviewing more again.

^ I should have mentioned Homunculous Res and I need to get to the Next Day by Bowie. I'm doing a lot of catching up these days. I had 14 hours taken off my work week recently which is why I'm reviewing so much currently.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Ayreon - The Theory of Everything
Great album. It was a bit of a pleasant surprise for me, honestly; 'cause I wasn't expecting such a good album from them. |
