   Swiss drummer Peter Giger, I feel, is the greatest in his field; he has had a career spanning many decades and different styles of playing and music "phases" , He is mainly known in prog circles as having been a drummer for Krautrock/Jazz rock band Dzyan from Europe in the seventies, and that was just a small section of his activity.  He was also a composer and teacher, as well. Here is part of a live concert in Berlin in 1977, and his playing has to be seen to be believed-truly, he is "The Lord Of The Drums"
