Use a database. Nero comes with one and you can just add the albums (and recognise them via an online DB) or a simple tool: Offline CD Browser (a free utility) http://hem.spray.se/anders.peterson/ >downloads

I've certainly bought a lot of albums twice as a mistake, despite having a database of my collection on my laptop. When I was re-filing the collection, I came across several duplications - what an utter waste of money! |

Buy two copies!
Actually although I say it as a joke, I'm sure some people have OCD strong enough that they'd do that |

Presumably Germans who relocated to Switzerland rather than the other
way round, in that case. An important issue in my life at the moment, as I've just moved house and am putting all my albums and CDs into their new racks - so I need to make a final decision as to whether Lacrimosa is going in the German or Swiss section! |

Well, the founder of the band is from Frankfurt (Germany). And although they recorded their albums in Basel (Switzerland, on the border to Germany) and the record label founded by Timo Wolff is in Switzerland, I think they're more a German band.

Further to the topic about reclassifying Lacrimosa as being German rather
than Swiss, from what I can tell they ARE Swiss. I always thought they were German too, until I read their website (which does indeed end in .de, so it's registered in Germany). The homepage strongly implies that they are Swiss ("In November 1990, the Swiss music scene started to get curious about Tilo Wolff's Projekt [sic] Lacrimosa..."). Also, it states that they own their record label Hall of Sermon (which is based in Switzerland). Does anyone have a definitive answer on this? |
