The most funky bassist with a jazz feel for contrapuntal lines. And an absolute rockstar on stage. RIP you truly were a Giant.

RIP Ray. Gentle Giant's raw talent and compositions were unparalleled and continue to be a joy in my life. Ray's ability to occupy so many roles within that band was jaw dropping. Sail free great musician.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

This is certainly sad. A great inspiration for many bass players and a great overall human being. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.

One of my first bass icons, a masterful player and a sheer joy to watch him on stage, his grins were simply priceless. RIP
