'Ocean' is considered by many as Eloy absolute masterpiece...I really like listening this album, but the vocals (as usually) are just aweful. Next to this album I advise you 'Inside' who is my personal favorite and 'Floating' which delivers a great mixture between heavy rock and spacey music...great instrumental sequences, but just try not to give too many attention of the vocal parts. |
The vocals on "Ocean" are the perfect example of accentuated vocals The accent is really awful... "Streiks sem wis disasta"
But in general, the album is really good, apart from the accent of course...

I have to admit that I really love the Eloy albums "Dawn", "The Tides Return Forever", and "Ocean 2".
"Dawn" is a very good album and continued their upward progression.
"The Tide's Return Forever" is truly monster of an album that should be in everyone's collection.
"Ocean 2 - The Answer" is definitely the best output of the german rock dinosaurs in the 90ies.
Good listening....!
