Most of the band went on to form Haken. Prior to To-Mera, Julie Kiss was in a Hungarian band called Without Face. Structurally simpler, their second album Astronomicon is nevertheless a hidden gem.

I was listening to To-Mera yesterday for the first time. I really like the vocalist, not so sure about the music yet though,

If we're doing Chelsea Wolfe (who I love) then we should certainly have Anna von Hausswolff

While Chelsea Wolfe is a solo artist backed by various musicians on albums, she isn't metal particularly on the whole (she does have doom metal and post metal qualities), nor is she listed as a Prog artist, I think she is progressive (Could have found her way into maybe Crossover) and some of her music would not be out of place in such a topic, and I hope it might be appreciated by the OP. While not my fave of hers, the album Hiss Spin is a more metal one, Here's a song on it, and she does have folk elements (folk was mentioned in the OP).

Kalandra is great too, more folk than metal, but still worth a listen

^ I loved Highlight Kenosis (sadly not active for somewhere around 9 years now). It was indeed I who suggested them for inclusion in the archives back in February 2012, and there are several more videos of them playing their early material (with the original vocalist Oana Maria Stoica) in that thread: https://www.progarchives.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=84979.
Here's another rather obscure UK-based female-fronted melodic symphonic metal band that I used to listen to back in those days who only cut one album "The Dark Awakening" before seemingly disappearing off the scene altogether in 2012: They came out of hiatus in the spring of 2016 however, and began looking for a new vocalist. It took quite a while to fill the role though, with the band suffering several false starts along the way, but finally in October 2019 they discovered Tauni Baxter. A 'Reawakening Tour' was planned for 2020, but after completing just one gig at The Three Hats, Milton Regis, Sittingbourne UK on 15th February 2020, Covid came along and forced the band back into hibernation again until the late spring of 2021. A new single called 'After Echoes' was finally released in November 2021, and it has been said that material for a new album is being recorded at Karl Groom's Thin Ice studios. All the band's existing material can be heard on YouTube Music and Spotify.
