Interesting. In the past, I would view the html source, and CTRL-F "mp3" or "wav" or whatever.. Sometimes worked, sometimes didn't.

No. I wrote a script in AutoHotKey to take a search term, say "Nexus", and selectively search on Google, MySpace, ProgArchives, Amazon Music, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, YouTube, and Reverbnation. It adds a new tab to my browser window for each selected search domain. Other domains can be added with minimal programming -- you just have to figure out their HTML search strings. So when I wanna find out about a specific band or album, I hit Windows-M keys, type a search term, and in a couple of seconds I have the search results across my most often used music domains. |
