Yeah, I think anyone who said some variation of 'they're similar' is basically right.

Melodically and tempo wise, they are similar.

Most or all of them have a staccato keyboard figure as part of its hook.

Oh there is-- it features those guys on youtube who show how the same four chords appear in something like a third of the biggest hit songs. |

What's going on is that pop music is a repetitive, monotonous craft. Also artists often lift bits from each other in order to generate content. |

Well...your avatar is probably my favourite ELP album so I had to show a little effort, but @Cristi also suggested that they were 'similar' so he wins. . I'll bet there is a thread somewhere on the site about songs that sound like other songs or are blatant rip offs if you wanted to search it.

Thank you for taking this seriously. Certainly not that that's required on this forum but I do appreciate it. I feel like the second song in each pair is almost a ripoff of the first one.. though not quite as much in the third pair.

I don't have any degrees in music or anything, but they sort of sound like musical reflections or inversions of each other.

Maybe make an introduction? Maybe tell us what you expect us to do? Maybe tell us what's the point of the thread? |
