My vote is for Journey's Trial by Fire, although this album runs FAR too long. I would eliminate "Castles Burning", "Don't be down on me baby", "Still she cries", "Colors of the Spirit", and the hidden track, "Baby I'm a leavin' you". The other 10 tracks make up a masterful 45-minute album.

Now that we've reached the 11th album in the series, I'm using the term "Classic" in its loosest possible sense. Tongue

The only album I've heard from this list is the one by the Steve Miller Band, so gave that my vote. It features Miller's only side-long track: a weird disco/funk jam with thunder/rain samples.

Jefferson Starship - Mother of the Sun (2020)

they dared doing one without Kantner??

Does It Really Happen that Jefferson Starship can release an album with only one of the original members?

Yes, It Can Happen. Smile

The new line-up for Mother of the Sun (2020)

  • David Freiberg – vocals, acoustic guitar
  • Cathy Richardson – vocals, acoustic guitar

The Allman Brothers. Excellent album.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I think the Bruce one is probably the only one I've heard of these. Who knew Skynyrd had a Christmas album (although I don't think I'll be listening to that any time soon)?
