An extra thanks -- didn't know of a Pink Floyd archive! Despite being my favorite band!

It's a veritable mine of Floydian trivia and detailed data.

Geoff Emerick’s “Here There & Everywhere “ is a nice personal account of his time getting a job at EMI and recording the Beatles.

A great book that details how George Martin and the Abbey Road engineers came up with all those great sounds. This should be essential reading for anyone that records music.

Books that aren't about the life of a producer. I'm curious about the producers and engineers (or someone who could have documented everything) and their recording philosophy, how they did certain albums, little old tricks they used before the pre-digital days (or post-digital) even non-musical things about the personalities it takes to make a record, conflicts between people.

I'm reading about John Lennon's "Rock and Roll" album and wish it had more detail about the recording sessions. I just paused May Pang's "Loving John" when I encountered this part of the book.. I got this book because a handful of you recommended this in the "Best Books on Lennon" thread.
