This re-issue reminded me of the day I first listened to this masterpiece, and the new rendition of the titular track is spectacular.

Totally agree with you, Earl. In its re-mixed & re-mastered form the original album sounds better than ever, but the brand-new (2020) recording of the title track beats everything the band have so far released. Truly awe-inspiring.

And very, very good it is too. The new version of the Underfall Yard with the wonderful norther English brass " Prelude" on the 2nd disc is great.
