T1 does have the funnier moments. The Terminator diving into a car (just after the club on Picot scene) with one hairdo and emerging with another f'r instance. T 2 is utterly superb. But Arnold just had to be portrayed as a good guy which lets it down a little. An eye on political power and it's visceral non intellectual nature perhaps? Even... |

T2 was the bigger and probably, better film but the original Terminator had a kind of raw visceral quality that stuck with me so it gets my vote.

T2 - not often that I prefer a sequel over the first instalment...

Number 2, mainly because it looks so much better, and for the development of Sarah's character.

I'll go with the sequel. I just love it far more. It is one of my favourite movies. Actually if it weren't for the "advanced cyborg" thing, it might have made it to my Top 10 movies of all time. I'm an admirer of John Connor performed by Edward Furlong. Also, 90s' movies are overwhelmingly more appealing to me than 80s' ones. The '80s is the best decade ever, but I like 90s' cinema much better.
