This classic should get the alternate lyric geek in everyone thinking.... Walk This Way (The original Aerosmith version, not the Run-DMC version) Just a reminder of the rules for those who want to join the effort: 1. One line per post (to stimulate the collaborative aspect). 2. It has to sound a bit like the original (rhyme, sounding like... like kids who mimic a song without knowing what they're actually singing). 3. It also has to fit the number of feet of the verses (more or less). 4. Same length as the original song. 5. In the original song there are some repetitions, but it is up to the person whose turn it is to go that way or not to repeat (and thus write an original line). In a good prog tradition, the lyrics don't necessarily have to make much sense... And don't hesitate to start a Rewriting classics #4, if you feel a certain urge... |
